During WW2 the Home Guard was formed as a 2nd army in the event of an invasion and for minor military duties at home. If you are familiar with the BBC Comedy Dads Army you may remember the mention of a shortage of guns. There simply weren’t enough to go around. This is a rare survivor of a scratch built WW2 Home Guard training M1918. It’s well crafted stock and fore stock, at a distance, make it a great wall piece too.
