A delightful Majolica jug modelled as a pug dog. C19th, opaque white glaze decorated in colourand detailed face. Rare nowadays, they were made in three sizes in America & Staffordshire and indeed, on the continent too with production varying somewhat in quality. This example is believed French and of wonderful quality. A favourite of Antique Secrets, it also has a wonderful lustre and measures 18cm in height x 15cm x 10cm.
