The Frisian islands are the islands off the coast of the Netherlands (Holland) which also snake north around the coast of Germany too. They have their own distinct dialect and this is a wonderful and orginal painted low table that eminates from the islands off the Dutch coast. It has a proving drawer underneath and may have had something to do with breadmaking. It is 19th Century and has the underside etc. painted in a red oxide colour and it's condition is commensurate to it's age.
