Two very beautiful 17th Century appliqué Venetian silk cushions embroidered with crests. Stylised within a central band or crown. Later stitch repairs and of fabulous muted gold and deep red cloth. Possibly tailors guild pin cushions or marriage cushions. Utterly other worldly and beautiful. The crest is the same but the sizes are slightly different. One cushion measures 22cm x 21cm x 8cm deep at the waist. The second cushion measures 22cm x 19cm x 8cm at the waist. Gilt braided edge.
